European Economic Senate (EES) at the 16th Bosphorus Summit
A Strong Message from the European Economic Senate to Turkey: “Turkey, the Balancing Power of the New World”

Held under the theme “Global Challenges: Adapting to New Realities,” the 16th Bosphorus Summit gained a new momentum for global dialogue thanks to the visionary leadership of the European Economic Senate (EES).
European Economic Senate: The Global Mind Center of Peace, Cooperation, and Stability
Organized by the International Cooperation Platform (ICP) on November 6–7, 2025 at Four Seasons Bosphorus Hotel, the 16th Bosphorus Summit brought together leaders from all over the world under the theme “Global Challenges: Adapting to New Realities.”
The institution that left its mark on this year’s summit was the European Economic Senate (EES) — a key player in shaping Europe’s economic and democratic future. This prestigious organization, of which Cengiz Özgencil, Founder and Chairman of ICP, is also a senator, participated strongly under the leadership of Dr. Ingo Friedrich, one of the most respected figures of the European Parliament.

The EES is not merely an economic platform; it is regarded as the conscience of Europe in the fields of ethical leadership, peace diplomacy, and sustainable development. Headquartered in Munich, the organization also operates offices in Brussels, Berlin, and Zurich, and includes among its members CEOs of major global companies such as Microsoft, Audi, Deutsche Bank, UBS, and Telekom.
Dr. Ingo Friedrich: “If Europe, Turkey, and the Arab World Join Forces, We Can Achieve World Peace”

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ingo Friedrich, President of the European Economic Senate and former Vice President of the European Parliament, delivered a historic message regarding Europe-Turkey relations:
“Russia, India, and Turkey are responsible for defining the new world order. If Europe, Turkey, and our friends in the Arab world join forces, we can build a stable, peaceful, and just world.”

Commenting on how artificial intelligence could affect global balance, Friedrich said:
“Ask artificial intelligence how to build a new world order. Because wisdom should no longer be sought only in humans, but within the entire system.”
Highlighting Turkey’s unique geopolitical position and cultural diversity, Friedrich emphasized that Turkey could serve as a balancing power even in resolving the Israel-Palestine conflict, and stated:

“Turkey’s role is the key to regional peace,”
which received great applause.
“Turkey Is Europe’s Most Important Economic Partner”
In our exclusive interview, Dr. Friedrich stressed that Turkey is an indispensable economic partner for Europe:

“Turkey ranks among Europe’s top ten trade partners. Forty percent of its exports go to Europe. Investments from Germany to Turkey have exceeded 13 billion euros. This is the most concrete indicator of mutual trust between the two continents.”
Friedrich added that Turkey’s EU membership should not be viewed merely as a goal but as a long-term strategic process for both sides, saying:
“Let’s begin with closer cooperation, and eventually reach Turkey’s membership in the European Union.”
The New Course of Finance: Digitalization, Risk Management, and Artificial Intelligence
During the panel titled “The New Route of Finance: Risks, Opportunities, Digitalization, and New Rules in Banking,” Iraj Alipour, EES President for Turkey and the Middle East, made striking remarks.
Alipour introduced their projects built on digital payment systems and AI-based financial solutions, stating:
“We have established the ZPay system in Turkey to facilitate financial access for tourists. This system will both strengthen trust in banking and bring a new breath to tourism.”
Describing digitalization in the economy as a “new wave of trust,” Alipour added:
“Dynamic economies like Turkey, if they can combine artificial intelligence with social benefit, will become leaders in combating inflation.”

Turkey: The New Balancing Power Between Europe and Africa
The European Economic Senate’s vision is built on strengthening Turkey’s position within the global system. The remarks of Dr. Friedrich and Alipour clearly demonstrate that Turkey’s future is directly linked to Europe’s economic destiny.
Today, the world is moving beyond the equation of “Europe without Turkey” or “Turkey without Europe.”
The new era’s course is being redrawn around economic solidarity, digital transformation, and a shared vision of peace.
The EES’s strong presence at the 16th Bosphorus Summit once again proved that Turkey is no longer just a regional actor but a strategic partner at the very center of global intellect.
Turkey’s dynamic economy, cultural bridge role, and innovative entrepreneurial spirit not only complement Europe’s future — they are reshaping it.
“Turkey is not Europe’s missing link;
it is the future of the European vision.”
